NEW ADDITIONS TO DOWNTOWN

MCADENVILLE ANNOUNCED

McAdenville, N.C., (Nov. 28th , 2016) –Belmont Land and Investment Company recently announced the third location of William Henry Signature Salon will open on Main Street in McAdenville in 2017. Additionally, The Christmastown Thomas Kinkade Signature Gallery will relocate to a new space, remaining downtown.

“We’re excited to welcome William Henry Signature Salon to Main Street McAdenville. Their decision to set roots here, along with the gallery’s continued support to grow with our downtown, serve as a catalyst for our historic downtown’s evolution to a more retail-oriented business base,” said Bill Carstarphen, president of Pharr, parent company of Belmont Land.

To commemorate the announcement, Pharr Yarns and Coldwell Banker Commercial MECA will sponsor a Networking After Work event on Nov. 29. The celebration is at 131 Main Street from 4—7 p.m. to discuss growing interest in the downtown McAdenville area. Media is invited and encouraged to attend.

William Henry Signature Salon has been a part of the Gaston community for over 60 years, previously known as Ballards Barber Shop, and currently has two locations, in Belmont and Mount Holly. The new salon will take residency in early 2017 and will be located at 131 Main Street, neighboring the Kinkade art gallery at 129 Main Street.

"One of the primary reasons we chose McAdenville for our newest location is because of our passion for vision and legacy, we see the opportunity to lock arms with a town rich in this kindred spirit to continue to grow and carry on our legacies together,” said Somer Wilson, co-owner of the salon.

Jay McCosh has been proprietor of The Christmastown Thomas Kinkade Signature Gallery since 2007. In 2008 they relocated from Pineville, N.C. and have called Main Street McAdenville home since. The gallery is moving two storefronts down from their current location this month. The move will allow for a reconfiguration of restaurant space downtown.

“Of course it was a no-brainer to be a part of the charming downtown that Christmastown USA calls home. It’s an exciting time to be in McAdenville. This is a step in the right direction toward prosperity downtown,” said McCosh.

The opening of the William Henry Signature Salon and relocation of the Christmastown Thomas Kinkade Signature Gallery are direct results of ongoing interest Belmont Land has received in regards to the downtown McAdenville area. More announcements are expected to be made in 2017.

The celebration, co-hosted by the Gaston Regional Chamber and the Montcross Area Chamber, is free to attend for members, non-members interested in joining the chamber or the sponsors and media.
